"N. Rowe" signed flintlock "Kentucky" with fancy engraved and pierced patch box, incised carved with good engraved eagle plaque inlaid into cheek piece. Old repair wrist that is secured by screws and repaired. Heavy 44 1/2" octagon barrel of .60+ smoothbore probably bored out. Very good overall condition. In 1980s-90s this rifle was traded between Tom Seymour and S.P. Stevens in Texas then came to California where it hasrested in a collection almost 30 years. Nathaniel Rowe was a quality rifle maker.
